Cornfoot, Colville & Co, Farming and Masonic lustre jug c.1825 SOLD

A creamware, pink lustre and enamel jug with a hand painted scythe and rake beneath the spout.

 A very rare transfer depicting a milkmaid and cows.

A Masonic verse to the other.

Chipping beneath the spout and a crack from the rim. A small chip to the footrim.

Manufactured by Cornfoot, Colville & Co, Northumberland Pottery, North Shields, c.1825. The wheatear decoration around the rim, typical to this pottery.

5½ inches in height  to tip of handle (14 cms)
