Dixon & Co, Sunderland Pottery Masonic pink lustre jug c.1825 SOLD

An early lustre jug manufactured by Dixon & Co, at the Sunderland Pottery, c.1825. Sailing transfer bearing the factory mark.

The Masonic transfer bearing the engraver’s initials of Walter Cockburn. These being engraved beneath each of the columns.

Interesting and uncommon shape jug and handle from the Sunderland Pottery. Minor glaze chip off the top rim and base of the handle, also a very faint glaze star crack beneath the Masonic transfer.

6 inches (approx) in height (14.5 cms to tip of spout)
